Many thanks for your interest in our Lapidary Products. We also offer a full range of Lapidary Blades designed with the Faceter in mind. Our MK-1000 Saber is Ultra-thin and made of stainless steel. The Saber blade conserves gem materials and holds waste to a minimum. This makes it an ideal choice for such precious materials as sapphire, jade, ruby and opal. The Saber blade cuts at twice the speed of ordinary lapidary blades. The Ultra thin rim cuts with little chipping and leaves a remarkably smooth surface requiring less polishing time. Popular sizes for the faceter are 4", 6" and 8" with widths as small as .014 on the 4" and 6" and .025 on the 8".
